Bridge

A dialogue of unity is established through the use of written language. Two letters meet to form a chain that gives rise to the infinity symbol. This symbol, recognized for its representation of eternity and continuity, acts as a bridge between language and time. The work is a reminder that love has the power to connect and transcend through time.

Absent Presence

The work promotes reflection on the impact of the disappeared. The printing method is responsible for conveying loss through the omission of ink in the vowels of the word 'desaparecidos' (disappeared). It highlights the physical absence and calls for contemplation on silence and oblivion. This void compels the observer to approach, to attempt to decipher what is missing, symbolizing the effort needed to confront and remember the atrocities.

The choice to eliminate the vowel that determines gender emphasizes the universality of the loss, focusing on the common essence of the victims beyond their individual identities. Each viewer faces an interpretive experience that reflects the diversity of memories and emotional responses.

Thus, through its methodology and message, the work stimulates a dialogue on human rights, memory, and the role of art as a vehicle for confrontation.

Daydream

It is inspired by the quote from Martin Luther King Jr. This phrase works as a call that reminds us of the constant vigilance required in our pursuit of happiness. The dream of a better world requires a state of consciousness.

Peace Colours

The message is transmitted through multi-layer printing. The composition is repeated six times using three colours, thus forming a call for peace. This printing technique represents the different facets of peace and its necessary presence in a varied world. The layering of colors contributes to the aesthetics of the design and represents the union of diverse perspectives in the search for a shared goal: peace.

Radiant Diversity

A celebration of human identities. The work is a beacon of positivity by transforming two letters into coloured exclamation points. The use of a gradient in these signs is deliberate, it represents the transformative and stimulating power of diversity. It adds visual depth and a metaphor for the continuous spectrum of human experiences. Through this representation, it is illustrated how diversity injects vitality and colour into society.

Priceless Peace

The social dichotomy between our monetary measures of value and the priceless essence of peace is accentuated. The dollar sign underscores the overriding message that the true value of peace defies quantification. The viewer is provoked to recognize the inestimable significance of peace in a world often disoriented by materialistic persecutions.

Empowered Woman

Through the use of the female symbol in red, done on an imposing scale, the work magnifies its message of empowerment. The piece acts as a catalyst for the recognition of women's resilience and capacity. It celebrates strength and is also a reminder of equality, encouraging people to participate in building a more just world.

Harmonious Duality

The work highlights that diversity, far from being an obstacle to peace, is a key component for its full realization. It recognizes that inclusion and respect for differences foster an environment of harmony and understanding. On the other hand, peace provides the necessary framework for diversity to thrive, creating a safe space where each individual can express themselves and contribute.

Echoes of Peace

The composition, in its simplicity, combines form and function, transmitting a profound message with an economy of elements. The arrangement of the letters not only captures visual attention, but also invites reflection on the power of words and sound in promoting peace.

Affirmative Diversity

The design underscores the power of a positive statement towards inclusion and respect for individual and collective differences. By highlighting the word “yes”, the work invites active reflection on how acceptance and support of diversity can lead to richer social and cultural development.
